Have you just moved to Notting Hill or are thinking about doing so? Or are you thinking about upgrading your current space? We’re here to help with five of the most unique Notting Hill Interior design firms. Each one has a record of luxury property renovations with their own unique creative spin to meet the highest standards. With the personal tastes of their clients a top priority, these are the Notting Hill design firms you need to know.
Founded in 2000, Hamilford Design led by Manuela Hamilford, covers all aspects of interior design. With projects spanning from listed residences in London, to townhouses in New York, to country estates and hotels across Europe. Manuela was born in Vicenza, Italy and then moved to New York City to start her career in design. This is where she gained a flair for interiors and a passion for bespoke home furnishings. She headed to London to start her own interior design studio, and Hamilford Design was born. Since it was founded, the studio has had projects from palatial Italian villas to luxury residences in The Hamptons. Manuela injects her own flair, creating elegant, warm and luxurious interiors whilst keeping clients’ unique stories at the heart of their projects.
Hamilford’s ideas come from wanting to create luxury, elegant and warm interiors for their clients. Gaining inspiration from the heart of London to global destinations, Italian flair features in many of their projects. Manuela herself enjoys impressing her clients with surprising elements like different fabrics or colour schemes that compliment the space in ways they couldn’t imagine. With an evolving style and taking inspiration from all corners, the team continually produces rewarding projects.
“Notting Hill Villa displays the client’s personality perfectly. We always keep our clientele at the heart of our work and the whole design and process works around telling their stories. No two projects are the same. We used bespoke crittall doors to create a beautiful pantry. The kitchen has strong lines and a clean simple style, with floor to ceiling windows allowing plenty of light and the outdoors in. Wallpapers are a perfect way to be creative and add personality into any home. A bold design is created thanks to a striking choice in a vibrant colour matching the green and earthy tones”
Manuela Hamilford, Creative Director and Founder

“Alison appreciated that old and new sit well together in the creation of an individual home with soul and atmosphere”
Claire Sa, Director
With the West London Georgian home project, featured in Architectural Digest, they worked closely with Alison Loehnis and her husband for two years to restore the property. Taking inspiration from their comments about Alexander Loehnis showing his childhood home to his wife early in their relationship, the roots of the design were based on this feeling of privacy. They balanced this with community feeling and creating an oasis. The De Rosee Sa team revived many of the original details and layout with touches of character. Notably, the Italian inclusion of Massimo Vitali’s large scale photography in their bedroom. With Loehnis’ taste being wider in interior than in fashion, the home features colours that intensify throughout. From the grenache guest bathroom to the moody blue library, bold colours create a statement. Just like in fashion, the De Rosee Sa team followed Loehnis style providing her family a sanctuary in London.
“The opportunity to work in interior design was, and continues to be, incredibly exciting, as each space allows for a unique experience and a new design story – with our Clients as the ultimate inspiration. “
Tiffany Duggan, Founder
Is distinctive, finely crafted and well considered interiors are on your list of requirements for your high-end project? Studio Duggan continues to lead in London for all of these. Owner Tiffany Duggan’s 15 year background in set design and interior styling for some of the leading interior design magazines provided an ideal foundation for opening in 2011. The small creative and passionate team ensures that Duggan oversees every project with her senior designers. With respect to the client’s brief the team emphasise form, colour, texture and scale. Mixing old and new, their design philosophy is to create liveable yet dramatic spaces which fearlessly unite different eras and styles in pursuit of today’s perfection. In 2019, they launch Trove by Studio Duggan, their first homeware line sharing their signature style of nomadic yet timeless pieces of quality craftsmanship.
Duggan’s use of blending old with new has had her expert opinion in countless features. Recently she spoke with Homes and Gardens on the emerging red trend expressing that she feels the blue and red will never get old in a scheme. Second to this, she also spoke that buttery yellow with deep red is also a timeless pairing. The trend of these deep reds has been an inclusion in Duggan’s projects for many years and appears a feature that’ll be staying.
“It’s so important to create a space that makes your life better. Colour, pattern, warmth, beautiful lighting – these are the tools to make you feel happy in a home.”

In 2022, the couple were featured in Forbes for their work on the Georgian manor house in Wiltshire. The design was led by their respect for the architectural considerations that come with a period property. Starting from a stage of disrepair, the removal of the previous modern features revealed the beautiful ceiling mouldings and oak panelling. Known for their dynamic use of colour, this project sought a fine balance between memorable and approachable. Parquet flooring, marble surfaces and velvet seating are only a few of the stand out features. Not forgetting the mid-century modern-style apartment above. From concept to architectural and design services, project management and full delivery, the team’s outstanding care and attention to detail is clearly evidenced in this project.
Located in North Kensington, owner Catherine Wilman has been bringing artistry and architectural interior design together for forty years. Having a passion for design from an early age Wilman was led by her Father, John Wilman. Joining the family business, her skills continually had her promoted to be organising the company’s exhibitions in the UK and Europe. Now, working under her own name, Wilman’s reputation seeing her placed alongside stylists in leading UK publications continues to grow. A down-to-earth approach bringing comfort to clients ensures every project has the greatest client satisfaction.
Wilman’s Chelsea townhouse transformation had the firm shortlisted for the Interior Design Awards. A Paraisan flair opened this originally cramped space into an ideal family home. Focused on creating space, hidden storage and visually enlarging rooms were top priorities along with functionality for the whole family.
